Top 10 Bestselling One Piece TCG Cards, April 2025

Welcome back for another installment of "Scott combs through data in a vague attempt to understand what's happening inside the mind of the One Piece TCG community" — It's a working title and needs a little polish.

Jokes aside, I've had a ton of fun watching the evolution of One Piece TCG over the last few months. On the inside, we've seen huge ban list shakeups and an all-timer of a booster set with OP10 - Royal Blood. Externally, the anime has finally returned to screens after a six-month hiatus and kickstarted interest in anything vaguely shaped like a devil fruit. When you combine all of that, we find ourselves with a level of interest and investment rarely seen before. Everybody wants cardboard squares — and that's a good thing!

Honestly, I'm astounded by the popularity of OP10 - Royal Blood. We're approaching two months since release, and the set is still dominating the bestsellers list week after week. Will this finally change as preorders begin to go live for OP11 - A Fist of Divine Speed? Much like the anime, you'll have to watch along to find out.

Until then, shall we take a closer peek at all the cool things you've been buying this month?

[On K.O.] Trash up to 1 card from the top of your opponent's Life cards.
[Trigger] Draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand.

Marketplace price trend

It brings me joy to see Basil Hawkins (OP10-109) breaking into our bestsellers list. This snazzy four-cost character is part of the backbone of the deck for Eustass"Captain"Kid (OP10-099), a leader that took a hot minute to catch on over in the east. The western player base seems to have learned from their mistake and are happily signing up for a helping of Supernovas.

Hawkins is just the perfect card for the deck, forcing the opponent to carefully consider their life before threatening the K.O. and offering a solid body for your leader ability while providing flexibility with its trigger ability and counter value. You're just never upset to see Basil Hawkins (OP10-109) in your hand, which means you're never sad to see him inside a booster pack, either.

[Main] DON!! -1 (You may return the specified number of DON!! cards from your field to your DON!! deck.): Give up to 1 of your opponent's Characters -5000 power during this turn.
[Trigger] Add up to 1 DON!! card from your DON!! deck and set it as active.

Marketplace price trend

I do love it when a hot new piece of tech actually sticks around.

It feels weird to call Gamma Knife (OP05-077) new, given that it released back in OP05 - Awakening of a New Era, but the card has mostly been sitting in bulk boxes until now. A -5000 power effect is a gigantic trump card in the current metagame, beating back against timely attacks from Marshall.D.Teach (OP09-081) and the power reduction of Shanks (OP09-001).

As a result, the card started to find a home in Monkey.D.Luffy (OP05-060) lists towards the end of March and quickly became a popular one-of silver bullet to attack the metagame. Patching up your difficult matchups for roughly $0.12? This sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

If you ever wanted an indicator that the game is growing rapidly right now, look no further than a bestselling regular old DON!!! Card.

One Piece TCG is infamous for the level of customization afforded to players through their DON!!! Deck. If you're looking for something flashy or to achieve a matching aesthetic with your leader, you can choose from over 130 different artworks and foil treatments to find your perfect match — but that's not what's flying off the shelves here. It's just a regular old starter deck DON!!!.

Why? Because new players need more DON!!! for all the decks they intend to build. What better way to ensure they match than grabbing additional copies of the same one found inside the Starter Deck you just bought?

[Activate: Main] You may trash this Character: Draw 1 card. Then, play up to 1 "Blackbeard Pirates" type Character card with a cost of 5 or less other than [Kuzan] from your trash.

Marketplace price trend

The former Navy man continues to put on a strong show as OP10 - Royal Blood settles into the format. A quick glance at recent tournament results showcases Marshall.D.Teach (OP09-081) as one of the decks to beat... and every single recorded decklist is rocking four copies of Kuzan (OP10-082)

It's no real surprise — Kuzan (OP10-082) completely reinvented the Blackbeard playbook when it was released. He's tricky to remove and offers flexibility rarely seen in card games, turning your most powerful Blackbeard Pirates into a diverse toolbox fit for any situation. With prices finally bottoming at roughly $1 each, there's never been a better time to grab this must-have card if Blackbeard has caught your eye.

Marketplace price trend

No surprises here. Much like Basil Hawkins (OP10-109), the bigger version of Kid is a must-include powerhouse for his leader counterpart. If Eustass"Captain"Kid (OP10-099) continues to flourish at the tournament tables, I expect the demand for this card to surge even further.

Honestly? That'd be rather impressive. Eustass"Captain"Kid (OP10-099) is already selling a whopping 107 copies every day on the TCGplayer marketplace. Clearly, word is getting around about the potential of the new yellow leader and his various shiny toys.

Marketplace price trend

I'll never understand how Smoker (OP10-030) isn't dominating this list more than it does, I think the card is utterly bananas — but I am a very biased Jewelry Bonney (OP07-019) player, so you know.

Outside of my bias, Smoker continues to shine in various Green leaders at the tournament level. While Bonney is the obvious fit, Lim (OP09-022) has recently been having a bit of a breakout at European Regional events, with several lists including copies of Smoker to boot. There's a whole lot of potential in a five-cost character with 7000 power, and this one carries a hefty chunk of upside.

Even better, Smoker's price is finally starting to bottom out as more boxes of OP10 - Royal Blood become available. Two bucks a pop? Don't mind if I do.

If you have a green Character other than [Tashigi] that would be removed from the field by your opponent's effect, you may rest this Character instead.

Marketplace price trend

The fact that Tashigi continues to land next to her body-swap counterpart on every list I write recently is absolutely hilarious to me.

Much like Smoker (OP10-030), Tashigi was a serious upgrade for Jewelry Bonney (OP07-019) and has helped to keep the leader relevant at tournament tables since OP10 - Royal Blood released. Interestingly, the slightly more expensive Super Rare is selling a few extra copies each day, which leads me to believe that players are making a deliberate choice to build into Bonney after opening their packs.

Honestly? I think this card is still being super underappreciated. Three cost +2000 counters just don't have to do much to make the cut, and Tashigi (OP10-032) will continue to shine alongside any leader who can get some value from the ability or Navy/Punk Hazard tags.

[Your Turn] This Character gains +3000 power.
[On K.O.] Draw 1 card.

Marketplace price trend

The word is out and frankly undeniable: Shanks (OP09-001) is the best deck in the format right now.

That ascension is at least in part due to the powerful all-rounder characters that OP10 - Royal Blood brought to the deck, with Sanji (OP10-005) standing out as one of the best of the bunch. There's little this card doesn't do — it attacks for gigantic amounts, replaces itself when K.O.'d, and offers additional counter-power in a pinch. All of that on a three-cost character? What's not to love?!

For many folks, it was the price tag. Sanji quickly ballooned to nearly $15 per copy shortly after release (with the beautiful Parallel Rare version skyrocketing to almost $60). Thankfully, those jets have cooled as more products have become available worldwide, and players can now pick up their copies for roughly seven bucks.

Marketplace price trend

Alright, you got me. I'm utterly stumped on why Tsuru (OP05-051) is selling so many darn copies.

Perhaps somebody has an eye on an upcoming Navy synergy that I'm not aware of or likes the idea of a laundry-themed devil fruit, but this vice admiral has been the target of strategic large purchases throughout the month, with single buyers purchasing as many as 91 copies each starting from April 1st. Slowly but surely, these purchases have resulted in a price increase of 80%, but I'm just not seeing a gameplay or collector reason for it.

If you're the one snapping up copies of Tsuru (OP05-051), feel free to let me know what you're up to!

[Blocker] (After your opponent declares an attack, you may rest this card to make it the new target of the attack.)
[Opponent's Turn] This Character gains +2000 power.

Marketplace price trend

Ah, we're back in the world of things that make sense. You had me worried for a minute there.

Much like Sanji (OP10-005), Tony Tony.Chopper is proving to be an essential part of Shanks (OP09-001) while providing plenty of play in decks like Roronoa Zoro (OP01-001) and Monkey.D.Luffy (ST10-002). It turns out that a gigantic blocker with a +2000 counter slapped on is just really good.

Much like the rest of the OP10 - Royal Blood cards that appear on this month's list, Tony Tony.Chopper (OP10-011) is finally seeing its price bottom out as more products become readily available, and that leads to players snapping up their copies while they're cheap. Most TCGs don't offer a must-have staple for the best deck in the format for under two dollars a copy, and One Piece players are certainly making the most of it!
