Accessibility Statement

This statement explains the current accessibility status of this website, what standards we follow, known limits, and how to send feedback.

Last updated: April 20, 2026

Standards used

We use WCAG 2.1 level AA as technical target, in line with EN 301 549 requirements for web content referenced by EU accessibility rules. For Italy, this is aligned with the technical framework used by AgID for web accessibility checks.

Current status

The site is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA. A structured audit was completed in April 2026 and the highest-priority issues have been addressed. Testing with assistive technologies is ongoing.

What we already changed (April 2026)

  • Visible keyboard focus styles restored globally.
  • Skip link added for direct jump to main content.
  • Navigation semantics improved by removing incorrect button roles on normal links.
  • All offcanvas close buttons now expose an accessible label for screen readers.
  • Login and collection form inputs now have properly associated <label> elements.
  • Sortable table columns (Comparisons) now support keyboard activation (Enter/Space) and expose sort direction via aria-sort.
  • All chart components now have role="img" and aria-label descriptions.
  • Search suggestions list is now announced via aria-live for screen readers.
  • Accessibility statement and audit process documented publicly.

Known limitations

  • Chart colors in some edge–case combinations may still require further contrast tuning on low-contrast themes.
  • Mobile-only interactions (swipe, tap-to-sort) do not yet have keyboard or switch-device equivalents on all screens.
  • Screen-reader testing with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver is ongoing.

Assistive technology testing
