Top 10 Bestselling One Piece Cards, May 2025

Knock knock, it's data o'clock.

It's been a hot minute since I've caught up with the flood of sales data here at TCGplayer, but I'm incredibly curious to see what all of you aspiring pirates have been up to in my absence. Last month, Royal Blood (OP10) was the overwhelming winner of our top ten as new and old players alike furiously picked up must-have powerhouses and standout iconography from across the Punk Hazard arc. Will the set continue to do the same this time around?

Well, I don't think so. Extra Booster: Anime 25th Collection (EB02) was a hugely anticipated release heading into the month where I fully expect it to dominate the list much like it has tournament tables. I'm also curious to see if there have been any speculative buys as we inch closer to A Fist of Divine Speed (OP11). Monkey.D.Luffy (OP11-040) is looming in the shadows. There's no way he's not on the mind of many a player, too.

Shall we see which cards found themselves as the hottest pickups on the market this May?

Starting with The Peak feels a little counterintuitive, but so it goes.

I adore these sketch-art event cards that headline Extra Booster: Anime 25th Collection. They're a thematic, bold way to pay homage to some of the most iconic soundtracks in One Piece history. The Peak graces the first anime intro to showcase Luffy in his Gear 5 form, and it just wouldn't hit as hard without it.

Thankfully, the collectors agree. The Peak (EB02-008) hasn't found a home in a meta-defining deck just yet, the card has just enough potential to be of interest while tickling the nostalgia muscles of diehard fans. I expect this series of cards to return to our bestseller lists early and often.

If your Leader has the "Sky Island" type, this Character gains [Rush].
[When Attacking] You may trash 1 card from your hand: If you have 1 or less Life cards, add up to 1 card from the top of your deck to the top of your Life cards. Then, this Character gains +1000 power during this turn.

Marketplace price trend

I'm honestly shocked to see Enel (EB02-052) so low on this list. It was *the* must-have card from the set for my local yellow enthusiasts.

Enel is the shiny new finisher for his namesake leader, Enel (EB02-052). The deck has been a fixture in the metagame for quite some time and has been a favorite of those who prefer to control the game and slow things down. However, it had previously fallen behind other yellow leaders in the absence of dedicated support — a problem this new offering looks to fix.

Simply put, you'll need some copies if you're intending to play Enel going forward. That reliance has all those who love to restock their life cards snapping up a playset.

There seems to be a reasonable amount of hype around Vegapunk (OP07-097) heading into A Fist of Divine Speed (OP11) and beyond, so I'm not surprised to see some of the {Egghead} support from Extra Booster: Anime 25th Collection selling well. The curveball leader has somewhat of a cult following: once you're in, you quickly find yourself playing nothing else.

Vegapunk (OP07-097) is a spectacular fit for the strategy. An {Egghead} searcher that sports Blocker that you can flop into play with your leader ability? What more could you really want? A full four copies appear in Saurabh Kashyap's recent Treasure Cup decklist and I can only imagine that has helped to drive demand.

We currently sell approximately 85 copies per day. That's a whole lot of players willing to start at two life!

[Activate: Main] You may rest this Stage: If the number of DON!! cards on your field is equal to or less than the number on your opponent's field, up to 1 of your "Straw Hat Crew" type Characters gains +2 cost until the end of your opponent's next turn.

Marketplace price trend

Merry Go is the first signpost of the popularity of Monkey.D.Luffy (EB02-010) across the world. The most recent reskin of our main protagonist is commonly believed to be the best deck in the format (well, at least until he's usurped by Monkey.D.Luffy (OP11-040)) and no build of the deck is complete without four copies of Merry Go (EB02-041)

The powerful stage immediately replaces itself when played, but it also provides some insulation from opposing copies of Roronoa Zoro (EB02-019) or black removal effects like Tempest Kick (OP07-096). A cantrip with extra flare is not something easily found, but thankfully, there's plenty on the marketplace for under a dollar.

Three things in life are eternal: Death, Taxes, and the loyalty of Roronoa Zoro (OP01-001) players.

Zoro has been a fixture of the game since the very first set, and aggressively slanted players will forever find themselves attracted to his clean, efficient playstyle. As time passes, the strategy becomes more focused on {Animal} and {Straw Hat Crew} synergies, which happens to align perfectly with each new version of Tony Tony.Chopper. This shiny new inclusion helps turbocharge power and bust through blockers — everything an aggressive deck wants to do.

Much like other Zoro staples, Tony Tony.Chopper (EB02-003) is incredibly budget-friendly. Grab four copies and forget about it.

[Activate: Main] You may rest this Character: Up to 1 of your "Revolutionary Army" type Characters other than [Sabo] gains +2000 power during this turn.

Marketplace price trend

This inclusion brings me joy.

When Sabo (EB02-002) was revealed, many players saw it as yet another {Revolutionary Army} dud that didn't fix any of the problems the deck already had. Of course, that means that Belo Betty (OP05-002) is now making a real charge toward the top of the metagame because we all suck at evaluating cards.

Sabo is just a tool in the arsenal, but it's a darn good one. +2000 counter that threatens to bolster any {Revolutionary Army} of your choice is flexible and powerful, and that's exactly the type of role player Betty was looking for. Having recently picked up the deck myself, my own purchases are included somewhere in the near-3000 copies sold this month.

Marketplace price trend

When Extra Booster: Anime 25th Collection released, UUUUUS! was still the current opening soundtrack for the One Piece anime. While it has now taken a backseat to Tenshi to Akuma, it's clearly fresh in the minds of fans across the world.

There's not too much to say about UUUUUS! (EB02-058) that I didn't previously mention about The Peak. This art style is much beloved, and this song is nothing short of iconic. People are going to want these tributes to One Piece's history for a long long time to come.

Marketplace price trend

It's apt, really. If you also want to live, Nico Robin (EB02-036) is happy to take the fall for you.

Robin is another integral part of Monkey.D.Luffy (EB02-010), but the card appears to be powerful enough to appear in other purple Straw Hat leaders, too. A searcher with both Blocker and a +1000 counter strapped on is always going to be a premium option for any deck equipped to use it, and Nico Robin (EB02-036) fits that criteria for everything Straw Hat.

I'm secretly overjoyed that I called this one out in our Cards Everybody Wants from Extra Booster Anime 25th Collection article. I understand that the popularity of Roronoa Zoro (EB02-019) is directly attached to Monkey.D.Luffy (EB02-010), but it remains the piece of {Straw Hat Crew} support that I expect to flourish in other leaders too.

Pseudo-Rush is so potent at every stage of the game, and another small counter isn't going to go amiss either. Zoro just feels like another card you'll need to own copies of at some point down the line.

....and that's ten for ten. Extra Booster: Anime 25th Collection really is quite the set, huh?

I gotta say, after seeing this card kicking butt in Vegapunk (OP07-097) I am overjoyed that he doesn't carry the {Egghead} type. Sanji (EB02-054) is yet another character that ticks all the boxes when it comes to traits I'm watching for: counter value, chunky Blocker, and a reasonable on-play effect. The pre-time skip artwork is just the cherry on top.

I thought people were sleeping on the future possibilities of this card, but it appears I was sorely mistaken. Over 100 copies sold every day in May? The player base is clearly getting ready to cook up something!
