The Best Budget Decks for the One Piece Card Game (June 2026)

Not long ago, One Piece was a game where anything in the $150 range could count as a "budget deck." But with the earliest One Piece TCG sets now rotated out of the Standard format and power levels climbing every few months, prohibitively expensive staples are no longer an integral part of every deck the way they once were.

While it's true that a few staples (some just a set or two old) will still have a tendency to raise the price of a given deck, they're often much more replaceable than ones we've seen in the past, which tended to be deck-defining win conditions in and of themselves.

Whether you're a beginner picking up your first deck or a veteran who wants something cheap to bring to locals, here are four budget-friendly One Piece decks that won't break the bank, won't embarrass you, and won't get outclassed the moment the next set drops.

At around $60, Black Yamato is a brand new OP-16 deck that's a strong contender in the meta and an absolute blast to pilot. Using powerful searchers like Nami and Kin'emon, you stack up your trash in the early game, then in the mid game play your 6-cost Yamato, whose Activate: Main effect can summon an 8-cost Yamato from the trash. Pair that with the Leader effect, which gives Rush to every Wano card summoned from the trash, and you've got a deck that can swing multiple times in a given turn even with an empty board.

Since it uses combos to summon from the trash, it's fun to learn the deck's ins and outs, and with this much firepower it's a locals-winning candidate that can hold its own at the Regional level.

Most lists run a couple copies of Ground Death, a one-cost Event that can either negate the ability of an opponent's Character or counter for +4000, but this budget-friendly version omits those in favor of a few more +2000-counter Characters. If you have the cash for an upgrade, swap out a few +2000-counters for some copies of Ground Death.

[DON!! x1] [Opponent's Turn] If the only Characters on your field are {East Blue} type Characters, give all of your opponent's Characters -2000 power.
[Activate: Main] [Once Per Turn] Rest up to 1 of your opponent's Characters that has 2 or more DON!! cards given.

Don Krieg isn't anywhere near the strongest deck in the One Piece Card Game, but at $15 it might be the cheapest fully-built deck the game has ever produced, and it's not even close.

The deck relies on a fun gimmick: by manipulating your opponent's rested DON!! cards, you can interact with their Characters, resting them or otherwise debuffing them in order to gain board control. Then, by attaching a DON!! to your Leader, you can automatically give the opponent's entire board -2000 power during your turn, enabling favorable trades that are strong enough to turn unsuspecting locals upside down.

The best part about this deck is that it's both great for beginners to the One Piece Card Game and a fun side deck. Since it encourages board trades and methodical value attacks, it helps teach the basics of swing math. And since it's only 15 dollars, it's easy to throw together last-minute just to switch things up every once in a while.

Anyone who's played One Piece in the last six months or so will need no introduction to this deck. The terror of OP-13 and 14, Imu has one of the most potent 10-DON!! turns in the game, dropping a full board of 7000-power Characters that each come with their own powerful effect.

The gameplay pattern hasn't changed: stack the trash, summon Elders on curve, weather the opponent's onslaught with high-powered counter Events, then close with one of the strongest combos in the game's history.

A fully upgraded Imu deck used to sit under $50. Now that Ground Death is a four-of, that price has climbed into the high $60s. Even so, Imu stays a high-level deck at a low price.

Despite revolving around the three Navy admirals Borsalino, Kuzan, and Sakazuki (which each got its own Manga Rare in OP-16) this Sengoku deck has turned out to be one of the lowest-power offerings in the set. Don't let that scare you off. OP-16 is one of the strongest sets the One Piece Card Game has seen, and even a slightly underpowered deck from it can win at the local level.

Once it hits 8 DON!!, the deck summons every admiral straight from hand, then rides their ramp and debuff effects to close the game out. It's simple, but it's the most committed pure-ramp purple deck we've had in a while, and played well it can still win convincingly.

We'll admit this list creeps close to $100, but that's only because it runs a playset of Mamaragan, the new staple most purple decks will want when they can fit it. Without those, this is a sub-$30 list. For a cheaper take, cut a couple of Mamaragans for another purple Navy card or two.
