The 10 Most Expensive One Piece Cards

We're talking about an anime that has spent over 25 years on the hunt for the greatest treasure the world has ever seen. Are you really all that surprised that trading card boosters of the same franchise are stuffed full of gold and sparkle?
The One Piece TCG is approaching its third year on the market and has cemented itself as an undeniable juggernaut of the industry. What started as a niche way to play pirate and exercise those mathematical muscles has evolved into a deep, rich game deserving of a slot amongst the titans. One Piece has been swinging from strength to strength, and I don't see it stopping any time soon.
Part of that success comes through the home-run financial model that One Piece has achieved. If you're a brand-new player looking to set sail, a never-ending supply of starter decks allow you to hop aboard at a wallet-friendly price point. If you fall in love with a new leader and their corresponding archetype, most of their required cards are available for pennies on the dollar in their lowest rarities. It makes One Piece an appealing proposition even if you aren't infatuated with the anime or manga.
However, that budget-friendly approach is balanced out by a carefully curated selection of high-end collectibles inside of packs, tournament prizes and event rewards. One Piece has some cards worth top dollar. The most iconic characters and moments from nearly 30 years of history are captured in a variety of premium treatments commanding thousands of dollars each, keeping the pack opening experience and high-stakes nature of tournaments very exciting throughout. It's a fine balance to achieve both of these targets simultaneously, but One Piece is unquestionably the game that does so with the highest level of consistency.
If you're anything like me, it's the glitz and glamour that really sells it for you. There's no feeling in the New World like seeing a peek of gold appear behind that final bulk common. The hunt for treasure is the entire point. The most coveted cards in One Piece carry serious weight and envious stares from the opposite side of the table — and that's the best endorsement for an investment I could possibly imagine.
Let's take a closer look at the most expensive cards in One Piece history right now.
Honorable Mention: Monkey.D.Luffy (Super Pre-Release Winner) (P-001)

You've got to take a moment to appreciate the cards that kickstarted it all in the first place.
While Monkey.D.Luffy (P-001) falls just outside of the current top ten, it's a holy grail card for many collectors on sheer scarcity alone. It's a fair assumption that anything carrying our protagonist's face is going to command a hefty price tag, but this promo card sports an aura that no other card can.
Back in late 2022, a series of pre-release events took place over just three weeks to celebrate the upcoming launch of the One Piece TCG. At the time, the game had no established player base. Players had to be willing to give an unknown quantity a try during an incredibly limited window just for a chance to take home this champion prize card.
Many of those who won them didn't stick with the game, and even more were destroyed by stores who didn't get their event to fire. As a result, it's impossible to know how many copies are truly still out there.
#10 Cavendish (EB01-012) (Treasure Cup 2024)

The Treasure Cup is a year-round tournament series that offers players a chance to compete against the best players in their region for exclusive prizes. Throughout the year, the exact prize cards available at each set of events can change quite quickly, leading to some monolithic demand if one of them happens to be a must-have.
Cavendish (EB01-012) has long been one of the most expensive cards in One Piece in base rarity alone. It's a foundational piece of popular leaders like Jewelry Bonney (OP07-019) with an in-set alternative art mostly discarded for the original. If the serious collectors wanted maximum bling, they'd need to reach the top 16 of a Treasure Cup between November and December of 2024. That wasn't exactly an easy feat.
As a result, Cavendish (EB01-012) (Treasure Cup 2024) has sold at prices as high as $1750. If you're a diehard green player, there's no bigger flex.
#9 Nami (ST01-007) (2025 New Year Event Winner)

There are a few boxes you can check for a surefire collectible in One Piece: Luffy, one of the ladies, and limited-time events. Nami (ST01-007) (2025 New Year Event Winner) ticks two of them loudly and proudly.
In order to win one of these cards, you needed to win a special in-store event celebrating the new year in the four-week window between January 17th and February 16th 2025. The participants scored a non-foil, unextended version of the card, but this full watercolor masterpiece was reserved solely for the winner. As you can imagine, getting a seat in these tournaments was next to impossible, and the caliber of player you needed to get through to win this version of Nami was sky high.
If you can find one, they're a stellar investment — but even that is no easy feat.
#8 Vinsmoke Reiju (OP06-069) (Treasure Cup 2024)

Vinsmoke Reiju (OP06-069) falls into the exact same boat as Cavendish (EB01-012): it was a Treasure Cup prize card for a total of six weeks. It could be won at a total of twelve events across the entire world. No wonder they're impossible to find!
Reiju was the next step up from Cavendish, requiring a Top 8 finish to be won. It was the card to have at the end of that tournament season and still causes collectors to audibly gasp today.
#7 Monkey.D.Luffy (ST01-012) (Alternative Art - Gold Stamped Signature)
Product Details
[DON!! x2][When Attacking] Your opponent cannot activate [Blocker] during this battle.

On to my favorite card in the entire One Piece TCG: one personally endorsed by franchise creator Eiichiro Oda with an embossed, gold-stamped signature.
This card was seeded in boxes of Awakening of the New Era (OP05) as one of the first true pop-off level pulls in the game. Oda is revered as some kind of god amongst the One Piece community for the love and labor they've poured into their craft, and many couldn't think of a better holy grail than a card bearing his signature.
It's a beautiful piece I never managed to pull myself. Still hoping to manage it, someday!
#6 Uta (OP09-002) (Treasure Cup 2025)
Product Details
Marketplace price trend
Are you starting to see how important the Treasure Cup series is for the One Piece ecosystem yet? Pretty cool, huh?
Uta (OP09-002) was the awarded Top 8 prize card for just the month of February 2025. She's a must-play searcher in Shanks (OP09-001) and will no doubt be part of the backbone for any other {Red-Haired Pirates} leader that appears in the future.
Moreover, Sunohara's artwork is adorable. You can't not want this card, but there are only 88 copies officially out there right now. If you ever see a Shanks player rocking the full playset? Run.
#5 Monkey.D.Luffy (OP07-109) (CS 2024 Event Pack)
Product Details
[Trigger] K.O. up to 1 of your opponent's Characters with a cost of 4 or less.
Marketplace price trend
The Championship 2024 Event Pack was awarded to participants and finalists at Championship Finals events. It's a two-card booster pack from a selection of nine different cards. The big hit? A serialized variant of Monkey.D.Luffy (OP07-109).
At release, all three kid brothers were seeing heavy play in Monkey.D.Luffy (ST13-003), so absolutely everybody wanted this thing. While there's technically 1000 copies available, each one is serialized in gold in the top left-hand corner of the card. If you've got one, it's that one. Nobody on the planet has the same card as you.
Serialized cards have a reputation tailing back into sports cards decades ago. They carry a level of prestige that's impossible to match. For most diehard collectors, this card is the one that feels most out of reach. Just imagine if you could find sequential copies!
#4 Rebecca (OP05-091) (October Championship 2024 Online Regional)
Product Details
[On Play] Add up to 1 black Character card with a cost of 3 to 7 other than [Rebecca] from your trash to your hand. Then, play up to 1 black Character card with a cost of 3 or less from your hand rested.

30 days. Seven events across all regions. That was the only opportunity you'd get to win Rebecca (OP05-091).
Online regionals are a different beast entirely. Anybody from the region can play, which means they're always sold out and all the best players are guaranteed to be involved. Rebecca (OP05-091) was one of the two prize cards awarded to the Top 8 players of each event (the other being a serialized version of Shanks (OP01-120) pushing $2500 itself). An almost $6000 dollar payday from the comfort of my own home? Don't mind if I do.
Much like many of the other event prize cards discussed in this article, the trouble is finding them. At time of writing, exactly one copy of Rebecca is listed on TCGplayer at $3,000. If you want one, that's your only choice right now.
#3 Monkey.D.Luffy (OP05-119) (Golden SP)
Product Details
[Activate:Main][Once Per Turn] (1): Add up to 1 DON!! card from your DON!! deck and set it as active.

Earlier this year in A Fist of Divine Speed (OP11), Bandai debuted a new level of collectible for the community to chase. In the secret rare slot, you could find two alternative variants of Monkey.D.Luffy (OP05-119) — one glittering like diamond, and the other a fierce gold.
Over time, the golden variant has proven both harder to find and more coveted amongst collectors, causing the card to spiral to double the price of its silver counterpart. Gear 5 Luffy was always going to be the face of the franchise, but these are something else.
If you're looking for a modern-day chase card you can still find inside booster packs today, Monkey.D.Luffy (OP05-119) (Golden SP) is one of your best possible choices.
#2 Gol.D.Roger (Golden Manga Rare)
Product Details
When your opponent activates [Blocker], if either you or your opponent has 0 Life cards, you win the game.
Marketplace price trend
But if you want the holy grail of yesteryear, you'll need to look to the former King of the Pirates.
Emperors in the New World (OP09) introduced us to the only golden Manga Rare to date. Gol.D.Roger (OP09-118) needed to make an appearance in the set as a bookend to the old era, but it was also about time that the progenitor of One Piece joined the fray on a card. He's powerful, he's beautiful and he's the perfect jewel in the crown of any collector.
Find yourself some packs while you still can and take a chance!
#1 Monkey.D.Luffy (OP05-119) (Manga)

[Activate:Main][Once Per Turn] (1): Add up to 1 DON!! card from your DON!! deck and set it as active.

And thus comes the infamous Manga Rare that kickstarted the collector boom in the first place: Monkey.D.Luffy (OP05-119).
While the card has since seen a reprint in Premium Booster - The Best (PRB-01) without the textured foiling (which still holds firm at over $2000 by itself, by the way!), nothing quite touches the original. This was the first real representation of Gear 5. The cardboard version of a moment that quite literally broke the internet. Reprints or otherwise, I don't see a world where Monkey.D.Luffy (OP05-119) (Manga) doesn't remain the most coveted card in One Piece.
Earlier this year, there was a recorded sale at $5600. The card regularly changes hands between the $3300-$3400 mark. The Manga Rare version of Monkey.D.Luffy (OP05-119) from Awakening of the New Era is the most expensive card in One Piece, and honestly? That's the way it should be.
