The Best Decks in the One Piece Card Game Right Now (July 2026)

OP-16 is in full competitive swing now, and as a result, the One Piece metagame is seeing meaningful change for the first time since the release of the competitive wrecking ball Enel. That deck is still quite good, but the meta looks much more diamond-shaped now: Teach beats Nami, Nami beats Enel, Enel beats Luffy, and Luffy beats Teach.

As expected, the set's near-simultaneous release across East and West means deck makeups are still in flux. With no region getting the usual head start to solve it, new tech cards are surfacing daily and one-ofs are finding their way into more decks than ever—not just to keep opponents on their toes, but because cycling and draw power are now common enough to make a one-of far more reliable than it was in leaner, less draw-heavy metas.

Here are four of the strongest decks of OP-16 so far, with a quick breakdown of how to pilot each one should you choose to take the meta route.

With its ability to swarm the board as early as turn 2 and its looming late-game combo threat in the form of Let's Go to the Navy Headquarters—a card that can restand up to six eligible attackers for just 7 DON!!—Blue Green Luffy has quickly proven itself as the deck to beat this format. Its constant cycling means it can play for value, while its ability to go wide means it can also play for tempo, unlocking a free-flowing playstyle that can adjust to the opponent's game plan and find ways to win against a wide variety of challenges.

This version of the list notably runs three copies of the 7-cost removal Event Gravity Blade Raging Tiger, which when paired with the Leader effect and a card like ST30-014 Mr.3(Galdino), only ends up costing 1 DON!! when you take into consideration the refunds the deck provides. With strong matchups into Teach and very winnable matchups against even defensive decks like Nami, it's poised to do well in the OP-16 format. Unless, of course, more decks rise to counter it.

Blue Yellow Nami remains one of the strongest decks in the One Piece Card Game thanks to a powerful Leader effect that turns her into a 7000-power Leader, the ability to heal multiple Life with Borsalino/Moria/Zoro/Nico Robin, and access to the Thriller Bark package, all of which give her great matchups against the best decks in the format.

This version remains largely unchanged from last month's lists, save for a few OP-16 newcomers like OP16-056 Mr.3(Galdino), which is an automatic four-of in nearly every blue deck thanks to its hand-positive tempo-swinging freeze ability. This version also runs two copies of Gravity Blade, which help you maintain firm control over the board once you've seized it initially, and a copy of the 5-cost SEC Luffy from OP-15, which puts a ton of pressure on opponents that try to create a wall of Blockers.

With the power to redirect opponent's attacks by trashing a Trigger card, Black Yellow Teach is a defensive powerhouse of a deck that, like many other meta-defining yellow decks, can also put the opponent on a clock by forcing them to take damage.

While the deck isn't the top contender we expected at the start of the set, that's mostly a result of Blue Green Luffy's ascendancy, which ends up stifling Teach in tournaments due to Teach's terrible matchup against that deck.

The plan here is mostly the same as it was last month: play early small drops like Vasco Shot, Van Augur, and Doc Q, which serve as attack-redirect fodder. Then play high-ceiling threats in the midgame like Jesus Burgess and Shiryu, culminating in late-game boss monsters like the new 8-cost SEC Teach and 10-cost Blocker Teach.

Borsalino gives a ton of survivability in a single-card package, while the inclusion of OP15's 7-drop "Nightmare" Luffy can buff you to a 7000-power Leader on the opponent's turn, giving even further survivability against Blue Green Luffy.

With access to OP-16's new Marine package (which, notably, makes the infamous 5-cost Borsalino searchable), Rosinante is back, complete with a sticky board, absurd value over the long-term, and heavy early game pressure that'll put most opponents on the back foot.

As in previous sets, the deck still excels at swarming the board with powerful Trafalgar Law cards played ahead of curve, then closing with bigger bodies. The Marine package gives it access to more flexible DON!! manipulation via the Marineford stage, access to value trades and continuous ramping via the new SR Sakazuki, and strong tech options like X.Drake and Gum-Gum Lightning to stave off ultra-value-oriented decks like BY Teach. Meanwhile, the purple OP-15 staple Event Mamaragan remains a powerhouse across all stages of the game.
