9 One Piece Cards You Should Buy Before Heroines Edition Vol.2 (EB-05)

Heroines Edition Vol.2 (EB-05) is just around the corner! While the cards revealed don't seem like they'll turn the meta upside down, they have the potential to revive some forgotten One Piece decks while boosting Leaders from more recent sets that may have lacked just a bit of punch.
Since many older decks have the potential to make a major comeback (all it takes is one good tournament result, after all), now is the perfect time to start making preparations by picking up the staples that define some of these less-used Leaders.
Here's our roundup of cards we'd pick up to prepare for the decks and meta of EB-05.
#1 Megalo (EB04-018)
With his excellent removal power and status as a +2000-power counter, Megalo was a staple far before EB-05. His synergy with the new Green Yellow Robin deck (he's got the Wisdom type so he works with her Leader effect), as well the tremendous support for his native deck Shirahoshi, makes him a must-have in this set.
#2 Borsalino (EB04-058)
Still the gold standard for yellow healing and one of the best cards in One Piece, Borsalino can win games on his own. He's a perennial staple, and with so much yellow support in EB-05, another good one to snag.
#3 Monkey.D.Luffy (OP12-015)
One color that's gotten a surprising amount of support with EB-05 is red, and the decks expected to benefit most are Event-heavy Leaders like Red Rayleigh, Red Green Luffy & Ace, and maybe even Red Blue Lucy. Those first two decks rely heavily on this SR, so picking it up now is a great way to prep for the set.
#4 Lilith (OP13-113)
A generally solid searcher that can find any card with Trigger, Lilith is a likely inclusion in Green Yellow Nico Robin decks thanks to her Wisdom attribute typing.
#5 Mr.3(Galdino) (OP16-056)
Okay, so this card may not be super relevant yet, but he's a bona fide staple of the blue color and shares typing with two upcoming Baroque Works-themed decks: Blue Ms. All Sunday from OP-18, and Blue Black Mr. 0 (Crocodile) from the recently-announced ST-38.
#6 Yamato (OP16-098)
Black Yamato gets a ton of Leader support with EB-05, and this is one of the deck's primary tools. It's an SR, so grab it now before the deck becomes a rush-heavy menace in the metagame.
#7 Rocks.D.Xebec (OP17-118)
Rocks will likely remain one of the best decks in the game even after EB-05 releases, so if you haven't been able to secure him yet, now's a great time. As a Secret Rare, his price is known to spike at the drop of a hat whenever he makes tournament appearances.
#8 Mamaragan (OP15-078)
One of the few cards whose value doesn't diminish no matter how high the power level climbs. Nothing else provides +1000 counter at no cost to DON!! or hand.
#9 Trafalgar Law (OP13-031)
The logic for picking up this perennially-solid Law blocker is simple: green is good, and Law slots into basically any list the color produces—the new Green Yellow Nico Robin deck included.
