When Does The Dominance of God (OP-18) Release?

The Dominance of God (OP-18) officially releases in English and Japanese on November 20th, 2026, with the cards being legal for tournament play the week afterwards on November 27th, 2026.

Additionally, with this being a main set release for the One Piece Card Game, there will also be Pre-Release events at local stores in your area. The sign ups and details are currently not announced, but make sure to check Bandai TCG+ for registration details in your area.

Who Are the New Leaders in The Dominance of God (OP-18)?

There are six new Leaders in The Dominance of God:

  • Red/Blue Karoo
  • Green/Purple Franky
  • Green Luffy
  • Blue Ms. All Sunday
  • Purple/Black Saint Gunko
  • Black/Yellow Spandem

As of writing, we don't know the full amount of support for each Leader, but we do have a pretty good idea of their play styles and deck construction.

Red/Blue Karoo (OP18-001)

  • All of your Characters with both the [Animal] and [Alabasta] types gain <Rush> and +1000 power.
  • (Once Per Turn) When your [Alabasta] type Character is K.O.'d, draw 1 card.

Though not Karoo's first card in the One Piece Card Game, this is the first time he has been given the chance to be a Leader. Like OP04-001 and EB03-001 Nefeltari Vivi, he's a red/blue Alabasta Leader, but he's the first to additionally support the Animal archetype as well. Being able to give EB02-001 Karoo Rush and +1000 power is a pretty strong play for the deck already, as well as being able to draw a card if your opponent K.O.'s it.

The Alabasta archetype has always been a bit middling, but it has had a lot of support cards printed over the years that Karoo can take advantage of.

Green/Purple Franky (OP18-021)

  • All Stage cards in your hand have a +3000 Counter.
  • [Activate:Main] (Once Per Turn) DON!! -1: Play up to 1 Stage card with a cost of 5 or less from your hand.

Franky has finally appeared as a Leader in the One Piece Card Game, the final one of the 10 Straw Hat Crew members to do so. Additionally, he is the first Leader in the game whose main focus will be Stage cards. Traditionally, most decks in the game only run a few Stage cards in their deck, if any. However, Franky being able to give Stage cards in your hand +3000 counter offers a lot of defensive power to otherwise counter-less cards.

We've seen a couple of new Stage cards for Franky so far, such as OP18-076 Shark Submerge 3 and OP18-078 Mini-Merry, which both offer card draw and your DON!! back from playing the stage from Franky's ability. Also, with Franky being a purple Straw Hat Crew Leader, it does offer him access to some exclusive cards, such as OP09-078 Gum-Gum Giant.

Green Monkey.D.Luffy (OP18-022)

  • (DON!! x3) [When Attacking] (Once Per Turn) You may set this Leader as active. If you do, this Leader will not become active in your next Refresh Phase.

Luffy returns with his 18th iteration of a Leader card (19th iteration if you include ST30-001 Luffy & Ace). However, this is his first mono-green Leader in all this time. He has the strong ability to be able to attack twice in one turn, with the drawback of not being able to become active in your next refresh phase. But with cards like the new OP18-031 Nico Robin, there are ways to bypass this drawback.

There is also a lot of good green Straw Hat Crew support already in the game, such as EB02-017 Nami for searching and OP13-027 Sanji if you want to build more around the FILM archetype.

Blue Ms. All Sunday (OP18-041)

  • When your Character with a type including "Baroque Works" and 3000 base power or more is K.O.'d, draw 1 card, and your opponent trashes 1 card from their hand.

Though Nico Robin has a couple of Leaders in the game already, this is her first Leader iteration as Ms. All Sunday. In her Baroque Works persona, she has a lot of hand advantage potential—not only drawing one, but forcing your opponent to trash one card whenever your Baroque Works Character is K.O.'d.

Her effect is unfortunately limited to Baroque Works Characters with 3000 base power or more, which does prevent synergy with cards such as OP16-054 Mr. 1 (Daz.Bonez) and PRB02-009 Mr.3(Galdino). There are, however, relevant cards that do work such as OP16-056 Mr.3(Galdino). Cards are still being revealed for Ms. All Sunday, so we will have to see if there are any cards that have blocker or K.O. themselves to help you activate her effect more often.

Purple/Black Saint Gunko (OP18-060)

  • (Once Per Turn) When a Character is played from your trash, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand.
  • [Activate:Main] (Once Per Turn) You may trash 1 card from your hand: If you have a Character with 8000 base power or more, add up to 1 DON!! card as active from your DON!! deck.

If you don't know who Saint Gunko is, you are not alone. She is one of the new characters in the series as part of the ongoing Elbaph Arc for the One Piece anime (so do be wary of mild spoilers ahead).

We do know she has at least two powerful cards released in the set though, being OP18-065 Saint Gunko and OP18-119 Saint Shamrock. Both of these cards revolve around playing cards from the trash, which is not only a good effect in itself, but additionally allows her to draw from her Leader effect.

Black/Yellow Spandem (OP18-079)

  • [Activate:Main] You may rest 2 of your DON!! cards and this Leader and trash 1 card with a type including "CP" from your hand: Add up to 1 card from the top of your deck to the top of your Life cards.

Spandem gets his first Leader card in OP-18 and joins the ranks of OP07-079 Rob Lucci as one of the Cipher Pol Leaders in the game. Spandem's also one of the few Leaders in the game that can heal itself during the game. Though it's a bit expensive to do so, requiring you to discard a card and rest Spandem plus two DON!! cards, self-heal decks have been very successful in the history of the One Piece Card Game. We'll have to see if Spandem will be too.

What Are the Most Valuable Cards in The Dominance of God (OP-18)?

We already know a lot of the rarer cards in the set but, with this being a continuation of the 4th anniversary, it is very likely there will be more alternate art and rare cards as we get closer to the release.

Yoshitaka Amano Alt-Arts

Like Keisuke Itagaki being a guest artist for OP17 with OP17-062 Kaido, there is a guest artist for OP-18 as well!

This time it is Yoshitaka Amano, a long-time artist who is known for his contribution to the style of the Final Fantasy game series.

In OP-18, he is doing two art pieces: OP17-119 Loki and OP18-119 Saint Shamrock. These cards additionally come in two different versions: the Parallel Version and the Gold Foil Parallel Version.

Super Alt-Arts

Currently, there have been two super-alt art/manga cards announced for The Dominance of God (OP-18). Nico Robin is the traditional "Manga" Rare in OP-18 and has a lot of synergy with the new Luffy Leader in OP-18 as mentioned above.

There is also the Super Alternate Art OP18-065 Saint Gunko, which is more in the style of the Pirate Crew Alt-Arts as seen in OP-17 with OP17-118 Rocks.D.Xebec and EB04-061 Monkey.D.Luffy. These rarities have been some of the rarest and most exclusive in the One Piece Card Game so far, and I expect that to continue with OP-18.
