Now that the One Piece Card Game's release schedules are synced across all regions, this is the first time the west gets to experience the hype cycle in real time, and not on a three-month delay. The first batch of announcements came just a few weeks ago, as Bandai announced both EB-05 Heroines Edition Vol. 2, along with some details about the next mainline set OP-18 The Dominance of God.

Now, with the release of Heroines Edition Vol.2 fast approaching, we've gotten a few one-off reveals which already include some potentially game-changing new support. Here's everything we know about EB-05 so far.

When Does Heroines Edition Vol.2 (EB-05) Release?

Heroines Edition Vol.2 (EB-05) releases in October 2026. There's no official date yet, but given the dates on distributor websites, we expect the set to be released on October 30, 2026.

As an Extra Booster set, there aren't expected to be Heroines Edition Vol.2 pre-release events at local game stores. That said, there may be another event held after October 30 to celebrate the set, much like the Heroines Battle that was held for EB-03.

Who Are the New Leaders in Heroines Edition Vol.2 (EB-05)?

  • (Once Per Turn) When one of your Characters with the <Wisdom> attribute and without <Blocker> is K.O.'d, add up to 1 card from the top of your deck to the top of your Life cards.
  • [Activate:Main] (Once Per Turn) Set up to 1 of your Characters with the <Wisdom> attribute and 6000 power or less as active.

The recently announced Green Yellow Nico Robin is likely the only Leader in Vol.2. The first Heroines Edition set brought just one Leader, Vivi, so there's precedent for only having one new Leader, though more could still be revealed.

On paper, Robin already looks powerful, as she can heal a Life any time a Wisdom-attribute Character is removed. She heals a Life any time a Wisdom-attribute Character is removed, and she can set a Wisdom Character with 6000 power or less as active, meaning any Wisdom Character can attack twice or stay standing at the end of the turn to avoid getting attacked. Pair that with the natural sustain of her heal effect, and she could be a serious new force in the game.

  • Cost: 6
  • 6000 Power
  • [Your Turn] [On Play] Play up to 1 Character card with a cost of 5 or less and the <Wisdom> attribute from your hand.
  • [Trigger] Rest up to 1 of your opponent's characters with a cost of 6 or less.

To accompany her Leader, Robin also gets access to a 6-cost Nico Robin Character, a green 6000-power Wisdom-attribute that can play a 5-cost or less Character with the Wisdom attribute from the player's hand. More support has yet to be revealed, but the playstyle is unlike anything the game has seen so far, and players will be eager to pilot it on release.

What Are the Most Valuable Cards in Heroines Edition Vol.2 (EB-05)?

As you'd expect from a Heroines set, the art is the main attraction of EB-05.

  • Cost: 1
  • 0 Power
  • [On Play] Look at 5 cards from the top of your deck; reveal up to a total of 2 [Megalo or {Neptunian} type cards and add them to your hand. Then, trash the rest.
  • [Activate:Main] You may rest this Character: Up to 1 of your {Neptunian} type Characters with 6000 power or less gains <Rush> during this turn.

One Manga Rare card has been revealed from Heroines Edition Vol.2 so far: EB05-014 Shirahoshi. As expected from Manga Rares, the art and background of this card are all taken directly from the One Piece manga.

Given that Manga Uta did not end up being the most valuable card in EB-03, it's possible Manga Shirahoshi won't be the top card of EB-05, but it'll be a huge chase card regardless.

The SP arts we've seen each carry plenty of chase appeal on their own.

As befits the set's title, Robin and Nami are each getting SPs with art credited to Takashi Kojima, the character designer behind the One Piece Heroines anime episode.

The remaining SPs, unlike the portrait arts released in EB-03, will each be dedicated to one of the game's women Leaders. The aesthetic here is similar to previously-released Heroines alts, with a fashion magazine-inspired sensibility and close-up headshots for each Leader. SP art has already been unveiled for Red Blue Vivi, Blue Yellow Nami, Green Yellow Shirahoshi, Blue Yellow Boa Hancock, Blue Rebecca, Yellow Bonney, and even the new Green Yellow Robin Leader.
