With the exception of a particularly rare promo, all the most valuable cards in the game can be found in their first set, Romance Dawn. The chance to find some of these beautiful chase Rares makes every pack exciting, with the very real added bonus that some of the rarest cards are not just pretty to look at—many are also certified powerhouses.
#10 Trafalgar Law (Parallel)
Product Details
[On Play] You may return 1 Character to your hand: Play up to 1 Character card with a cost of 3 or less from your hand.
This card has been officially errata'd.

Parallel variants of popular characters are always worth keeping an eye on, and this is no exception. The biggest draw for this version of the character has to be the cool action shot that shows off his style, complete with tattoos, though the card itself is no slouch when it comes to establishing a flexible board state with its ability.
#9 Yamato (Parallel)
Product Details
[Double Attack] (This card deals 2 damage.)
[Banish] (When this card deals damage, the target card is trashed without activating its Trigger.)

Vibrant colors jump off of this Secret Rare, making the card pop the instant it hits the table. The beautiful brushstrokes are the primary draw of this card, but it's yet another perfectly solid game piece. Banish in particular can pick up some serious value against the right decks, so we see the crossover of aesthetic appeal and playability in this piece.
#8 Donquixote Doflamingo (Parallel) (Leader)
Product Details
Marketplace price trend
Almost no other leader card features as much personality as this parallel variant—which perfectly matches this villainous character. The colors once more take center stage as this daunting pirate stares down the opposition, cheating out some powerful Warlords while beating down.
#7 Boa Hancock (Parallel)
Product Details
[DON!! x1] [When Attacking]/[On Block] Draw 1 card if you have 5 or less cards in your hand.
Marketplace price trend
When it comes to anime card games, the aesthetically appealing women of the show will often have a commanding price. This has affectionately been called the "waifu" effect, and Boa Hancock is perhaps the most apparent example of this.
While the card itself is not all that powerful, the pretty character has appeal to key collectors.
#6 Trafalgar Law (Parallel) (Leader)
Product Details
This card has been officially errata'd.
Marketplace price trend
The leader version of Trafalgar Law highlights one of the key play patterns of the One Piece TCG: flexibility. His ability to swap out one character for another on the fly can trip up your opponents and set you up with a sudden advantage, making him a popular choice in the game. That popularity combined with the rare, alternate art makes him a great collector's piece.
#5 Roronoa Zoro (Parallel)
Product Details
Marketplace price trend
Pure aggression is fun in just about any TCG, and with some of the best strategies in One Piece formed around late-game haymakers, it feels very good to beat down before that ever matters. Zoro is one of the key pieces of these kinds of aggro strats, the character is popular, and the alt art is sweet—the perfect formula for a pricy card.
#4 Roronoa Zoro (Parallel) (Leader)
Product Details
Marketplace price trend
Zoro's character card crashes in for solid damage early, and his leader card is one of the best options when it comes to playing an aggressive game. The artistic twist on Zoro found on this parallel card pushes it over the edge, as it is particularly appealing to those who love the manga's style.
#3 Nami (Parallel)
Product Details
This card has been officially errata'd.
Marketplace price trend
It's rare to have a card that hits on almost every metric for value, but Nami is the perfect storm. As a game piece, she's great, contributing to your board state while finding your next big play for you. Her parallel variant is rare and striking to look at. The character herself is a fan favorite and we can throw in the previously mentioned "waifu" effect to cap her valuation. Altogether, a card that's more than worth adding to your binder.
#2 Shanks (Parallel) (Alternative Art)
Product Details
[When Attacking] Your opponent cannot activate a [Blocker] Character that has 2000 or less power during this battle.
Marketplace price trend
Shanks is another fan-favorite character, especially as he is arguably the entire impetus for the adventures of the series itself. Popularly called "Manga Shanks," this rare, alt-art chase card has a notably low pull rate that has inflated its price tag, and Shanks is further helped along by serving as a sudden burst of damage that can stop blocks to end games.
#1 Monkey.D.Luffy (Super Pre-Release Winner)
Product Details
(This card can attack on the turn in which it is played.)
Marketplace price trend
The One Piece Card Game ran a series of pre-release events in late September into early October of 2022. At the time, the game was comparatively unknown, so there are remarkably few Monkey.D.Luffy Super-Pre-Release Winner promos out in the wild, making it the most valuable One Piece card yet.
Featuring the face of the series, this is likely to remain a card worth adding to your collection for a long time, if only so you can have a piece of the game's history.
