The Three Brothers return in this set, except this time we see all three on one card! Ace & Sabo & Luffy appear as a Super Rare in this set, and you know it has to have an Alternate Art with our three little dudes stirring up trouble in the Goa Kingdom. It doesn't matter if this card pops off in the competitive scene or not; it will certainly fetch a pretty penny as it has three of the most popular characters in the series on it!

[On Play] If your Leader is [Sabo], [Portgas.D.Ace] or [Monkey.D.Luffy], look at 4 cards from the top of your deck; reveal up to 1 card with a cost of 3 or more and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

To go along with those three rascals, we have Luffy's very own grandpa: Monkey.D.Garp in his younger days in the Navy. Even back in his youth, Garp was a force to be reckoned with, and so is this card! As long as your Leader is Ace, Luffy, or Sabo, you can search your deck for basically any card as long as it has a Cost of 3 or more! This card is going to be played in pretty much any red deck where your Leader is one of the Three Brothers. You'd be crazy not to!

With the new set, we also have fan-favorite characters getting Alternate Arts as well. Jewelry Bonney is a huge part of the Egghead Arc in the series. She takes on the role of Boss Character for Egghead strategies in OP-13 with this awesome new card. I love the Vegapunk OP-07 deck, and I'm super excited to try and pick up a full set of the Alternate Art for Bonney for my deck!

For everyone who wants to play the new Portgas.D.Ace deck, the brand-new Edward.Newgate and Yamato cards are just for you! Both of these cards are staples in the new Ace strategy, and you know we need to have two of the people most important to Ace in the fancy rarities! Newgate is a powerhouse Blocker that boosts Ace to crazy numbers. Yamato on the other hand is more of an early game card, and his effect lets you draw extra cards when you play him onto the field.

Both of these cards are going to be extremely popular pickups and are sure to be chases for collectors everywhere.

Serving Lord Imu… The Five Elders Are Here!

The highest authority in the One Piece World Government are the Five Elders, but those who follow the series know that there is a shadowy figure that commands the Elders: Imu.

Despite the Elders being introduced fairly early in the series, we are finally getting our first chance to see the Five Elders in the One Piece Card Game! In addition to their awesome power, we also have Imu making their debut as one of the most anticipated Leader cards this whole year.

This strategy is going to change the whole game. Ever since Imu was released in Japan, it has been dominating the metagame over there. There is no doubt at this point in the story that Imu is the biggest baddie of the One Piece universe.

In addition to having a menacing Leader and Alternate Art card for the Five Elders, the deck will also feature each of the Five Elders as their own characters. Their regular arts will showcase them in their human form, while their alternate arts show off their demon forms. Each one of them also has an SP artwork version that is absolutely stunning…

All of the Special Rare versions of the Five Elders feature this style of stunning artwork with illustrations by Gege Akutami, the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen. These cards are going to be breathtaking in person, and the type of card that you instantly sleeve up if you see one in your packs.

Speaking of packs! In the Japanese release of OP-13, there were God Packs that featured all five SP Elders and an Alternate Art Imu Leader. It has already been confirmed in early openings that this style of God pack will exist for us as well! Mind. Blown.

If you have any DON!! cards on your field, 1 DON!! card placed during your DON!! Phase is given to your Leader.
If you have 9 or less DON!! cards on your field, give this Leader 2000 power.

Marketplace price trend

The man, the myth, the King of the Pirates himself: Gol.D.Roger makes his Leader debut in OP-13. To start off, this is a 7000-Power Leader. What the heck.

Most Leader cards are 5000 Power, and those that have 6000 Power usually have lower Life, or effects that take away your Life over time. (I'm looking at you ST-10 Luffy and OP-02 Whitebeard). Instead, this Leader takes a huge debuff while you work towards having all 10 DON!! cards in your Cost Area.

Honestly, though, it doesn't really matter what this card does. It's Gol.D.Roger. That's all there is to it. You have the King of the Pirates, with his Alternate Art Leader, showcasing one of the most important scenes from his lore. When he laughed. If you know, you know.

In addition to his Alternate Art Leader, we also get Roger's version of Divine Departure, his signature move, which makes its way to the OPTCG as well as an Alternate Art Event card. This is so cool to me because now we have both Shanks' and Roger's Divine Departure moves as cards, and both of them have Alternate Arts.

Next up, we have the big chases of Carrying On His Will: the Manga Rares! Now with their official title of "Super Alt-Art," as per the display case at Bandai Card Fest this year.

The Three Brothers are the stars of this set, so each one of them gets a brand-new Manga Rare in this set. All three of them are absolutely gorgeous. If you're lucky, you'll see one of these super-duper rare cards in your pack! Since this set is also commemorating the 3rd Anniversary of the One Piece Card Game, Bandai decided to grace us with double the fun when it comes to Manga Rares. In addition to the three we just saw, we also get three "Red Super Alt-Art" Cards.

They're just the same Manga Rares, but with an awesome red finish over the background that makes the characters in the foreground of the art look like they're in front of flames. Super cool effect, and a great touch for these awesome chase cards.

So we have our Super Alt-Arts, but we also have some Wanted Poster cards in this set as well, featuring four characters that are all kind of important to this set.

I mean, just a little bit. Our Three Brothers and the King himself all get Wanted Poster cards in this set, which is great since we haven't seen these cards in over a year at this point. The last time we had Wanted Poster cards was in OP-09, and those were a huge hit, so seeing them again is great!

It is worth noting that Bandai has already announced that the Wanted Poster version of Portgas.D.Ace has the wrong text on it... making this misprinted version even more valuable! Instead of having the text for the OP13-119 Ace, this card has half of Ace's effect, and half of Luffy OP13-118's effect. This is going to be corrected in future printings of the card, but for right now if you see a Wanted Poster Ace, PICK IT UP! It's hard to imagine this going down in value!

Carrying On His Will (OP-13) is going to be amazing. It feels like every time we get an Anniversary set in the One Piece Card Game, it's always huge. Look back at OP-05, OP-09, and now OP-13? Yeah, they've all been bangers. This one will be too!

Hopefully you pull your chase at the upcoming 3rd Anniversary Events! Good luck, pirates!
